High voltage electrical substations project director

Intec Energy Solutions is looking to hire a High Voltage Electrical Substations Project Director who will assume comprehensive responsibility for the direction, planning, execution, control, and closure of electrical substation projects with a voltage equal to or greater than 220 KV, typically associated with renewable energy plants. Location : Madrid, hybrid. Key Responsibilities : Comprehensive execution and coordination of all project life cycle phases, from the bidding phase and preliminary design to the construction, commissioning, and formal project handover, including the coordination of all associated external and internal stakeholders. Manage the human resources necessary for the project and exercise effective and motivational leadership over a multidisciplinary and international team. Actively participate in the bidding, selection, contracting, and administration processes for all contractors and suppliers. Development and management of the project's assigned budget, as well as the generation of cost, cash flow, and profit and loss reports required by the company's senior management. Full responsibility for the creation and maintenance of the detailed project schedule. Ensure that all project activities are executed in strict compliance with the quality standards established by the company. Implementation and rigorous supervision of health and safety plans in accordance with the corporate safety culture. Compliance with environmental regulations and the active promotion of sustainable practices throughout the project life cycle. Proactively identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans. Job Requirements : Academic Background : University Degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. Professional Experience : A minimum of 7 years of demonstrable experience in managing electrical substation projects of 220 KV or higher voltages is required. International experience is desirable as all projects will be developed internationally. Specific Technical Knowledge : IEC and IEEE standards, as well as knowledge of best practices in construction procedures. Extensive knowledge of HV equipment, electrical protections, and SCADA. Proficiency and practical application of recognized project management methodologies (PMBOK) are required. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent is desirable. Excellent leadership skills, effective communication, and conflict resolution under pressure. Languages : B2-C1 English is essential. The usual working language will be English.
