Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of operations strategy across Spain, with a focus on ETO manufacturing workflows that integrate design engineering, procurement, and production.
- Drive the end-to-end ETO process, ensuring design specifications are effectively translated into accurate bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing plans.
- Serve as the business process owner for ERP systems supporting ETO—configuring and evolving ERP platforms to ensure flexibility and alignment with custom engineering and production workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and IT teams to create seamless cross-functional processes that reduce lead times, improve delivery accuracy, and enhance profitability.
- Implement structured methods for engineering change management, material master governance, and variant management to ensure high-quality, repeatable outcomes in ETO environments.
- Establish KPIs that track the success of operations, including engineering release accuracy, cycle time, production throughput, cost-to-serve, and delivery performance.
- Build and mentor geographically dispersed operations teams, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a strategic change agent for evolving the business from fully ETO to hybrid or CTO workflows, where appropriate—developing product structures, platform strategies, and configuration logic to enable modularity and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, while driving operational excellence and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations leadership within complex manufacturing environments—strong preference for engineered-to-order or custom industrial equipment sectors.Proven success in leading cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.Demonstrated expertise in ERP system architecture and configuration (SAP, Oracle, Infor, Epicor, etc.) to support ETO production processes, including BOM generation, item configuration, and sourcing workflows.Experience designing and implementing process transitions from ETO to CTO environments, including product platforming and standardization strategies.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities, with experience using operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish strongly preferredWork Benefits
