Overview
As a key player in the underwriting process, you will be responsible for crafting business strategies that drive profitability while adhering to established underwriting standards.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and implementing business plans, ensuring all business is aligned with company objectives.
- Collaborating with brokers to identify opportunities for growth and developing strategic relationships to optimize business outcomes.
- Ensuring policy wordings and clauses are accurately referenced and agreed upon, with all accounts contractually certain at time of binding.
- Managing premiums, reconciling payments, and reporting natural catastrophe data in a timely manner.
- Enter schedule data and quotations accurately into the system, ensure reinsurance split in the system matches the underwriting stamp, and log all bound, quoted, working and declined risks into the business log immediately.
Success in this role requires
Bachelor\ 's degree in engineering, business, or law (other science degrees also acceptable).Minimum two years experience as an Energy or Property Assistant Underwriter, or equivalent experience as a Broker.Fluency in English and Spanish.Proficiency in computer systems, ability to understand and adapt to new technologies.This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in underwriting, while contributing to the success of our organization.
