Chief Officer / 1st Mate

We are seeking a hands-on First Mate to join a 41m private motor yacht, owned by an elderly couple who enjoy relaxed cruising in the Mediterranean. This is a private-use vessel with a calm, family-style atmosphere. The role requires an active presence on deck, working alongside the deck team to ensure safe navigation, smooth operations, and immaculate exterior presentation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee daily deck operations, maintenance schedules, and safety procedures
• Actively participate in exterior duties : washdowns, polishing, line handling, tender driving, watersports setup
• Manage mooring operations, anchoring, and passage planning in coordination with the Captain
• Assist with guest activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience onboard
• Maintain safety equipment, logs, and drills to meet all regulatory standards
• Support a positive and collaborative crew environment

Ideal Candidate :

A competent mariner with a hands-on approach, who enjoys working alongside the team rather than just delegating, and who understands the service expectations of a private yacht for mature owners. Only non smoking , non vaping candidates with no visible tattoos will be considered.
