We offer professional asset management in the form of investment funds (Luxembourg SICAVs, Irish ICVCs and UK unit trusts) and for institutional clients in the form of special mandates. Background
The position is based in the Madrid office of Jupiter Asset Management International within our European sales department. Based in Madrid, you will be responsible for selling Jupiter products reporting to the Head of Spain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain appropriate and lasting relationships with key clients, in the interest of building profitable customer relations and attaining ambitious sales objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, through fund placement and subadvisory partnerships where relevant. Be creative and think outside the box.
- Conduct regular meetings with and without investment directors, in person and virtual, 1-on-1 and in groups, locally as well as in London, mainly through self-induced but also sponsored events.
- Demonstrate a high degree of self-initiative towards client engagement and sales campaigns.
- In close collaboration with the wider sales team, provide clients and prospects with information and updates on Jupiter funds, as well as documents and information necessary to ensure a top-class client relationship.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the local and international team, as well as the local Sales colleagues. Same for other internal stakeholders such as Channel Marketing, Events, RFP, GFIG and other teams.
- Develop a constructive relationship with the line manager through ongoing informal reporting on the business, constructive criticism and new ideas.
- Support the line manager in growing the business by developing and translating strategic decisions into projects, implementing them and consistently following up on these.
- Share meaningful information to achieve a co-ordinated sales effort within the team.
- Keep Salesforce up to date with client meetings & calls and pipeline management and use the tool to your benefit to the best possible extent.
- Carry out requirements and duties associated with the Spanish branch and collaborate with the Conducting Officer in the Luxembourg team.
Qualifications
CFA, CAIA or strong academic finance backgroundAt least 10 years of proven experience in Asset Management sales, preferably with a foreign asset manager, with a proven track record of raising assets particularly in the advisory channel (Private Bankers, Agents, IFAs)Strong drive & track record in activating clients / prospects & generating new business ("hunter" mentality)High tolerance of managing and overcoming rejectionSelf-driven, ability to work towards objectivesDemonstrate initiative with client engagement and sales initiativesSee things through from beginning to end : lead generation, pitch, follow-up, post follow-upInnovative mindset with out-of-the-box thinkingTeam player, good interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team to build good working relationships with colleaguesStrong presentation skillsFluency in Spanish and English (essential)Don’t meet every requirement?
