About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and internationally minded Assistant Regional HR Director to support and strengthen our people strategy across multiple hotels in the region. This key role works closely with the Regional HR Director, and in direct collaboration with local HR and Hotel Managers, ensuring consistency, alignment, and excellence across all HR processes. Important : This role requires flexibility to be relocated to some of the countries where RIU operates and the ability to attend international business trips.
What You’ll Do
- Strategic HR partnership : Collaborate with senior leadership and hotel HR managers to implement consistent HR policies and practices. Contribute to HR budgeting, monitor key metrics, and drive regional HR projects to support our business goals.
- Talent Management : Lead and support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and talent development.
- HR Operations Excellence : Oversee all aspects of payroll, compensation, and benefits administration. Manage HR vendors, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and leverage HR-related software and systems to enhance efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
- Employee Relations & Compliance : Act as a key advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters. Ensure full compliance with local and international labor laws, and manage relationships with legal counsel and institutional bodies.
- International Mobility : Supervise employee relocation processes, including the application and renewal of visas and work permits, ensuring a smooth and supportive transition for international staff.
- Employee Welfare : Supervise the management of staff accommodation, employee transport and other employee services, ensuring a high standard of care and a positive living environment for our team members.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 1 year of experience in HR management / supervisory role, ideally in hospitality or service industries, with regional or multi-site responsibilities.Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).Demonstrated international experience or exposure to multicultural work environments.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence across levels. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Willingness to travel frequently and relocate internationally as required.Why RIU Hotels & Resorts?
