Overview
Job Title : Procurement Strategist
The Procurement Strategist will play a critical role in the success of our organization by leading the procurement process from start to finish. This includes reviewing project contracts, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The Procurement Strategist will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Additionally, this role involves managing procurement activities, purchasing equipment and materials, and coordinating with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire and motivate teams, and a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook. Proficiency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent is preferred, along with over 15 years of experience in procurement management, including at least 5 years as a Project Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives.
Manage procurement processes, including contract review, risk assessment, and supplier selection.
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
Coordinate with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Monitor and control project budgets and expenditures.
Identify cost overruns and request deviation reports to evaluate and implement corrective actions.
Participate in commercial assessment and negotiation of relevant matters.
Review equipment lists and commodities involved, assigning material requisitions and preparing RFIs and RFQs.
Define milestone sets for the project purchasing cycle, considering contractual hold points.
Check that equipment and materials fully satisfy scope of supply and comply with general procedures and project requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
Over 15 years of experience in procurement management, including at least 5 years as a Project Procurement Manager.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
High proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
Proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
