This position is responsible for the successful delivery of a program aimed at increasing competitiveness and future proofing of the manufacturing and supply chain organisation. The program is divided into multiple workstreams with each workstream having a Workstream Lead, responsible for the deliverables of the workstream.
The Program Manager will manage an in-house PMO resource as well as an external PMO. The PMO function is responsible for ensuring the program structure definition and tracking and controlling its progress against agreed cost, schedule and scope.
The position requires a highly structured approach and is regarded as the point of contact for stakeholders of this program. This position reports out to management and works together with multiple stakeholders outside of the BU providing subject matter expertise.
- Responsible for performance of direct & indirect reports (Workstream Leads, internal PMO and external PMO).
- Responsible for implementing the program structure incl. workstreams, communication, documentation, reporting, controls and progress tracking, as well as monitoring adherence and taking appropriate measures in case of deviations.
- Defining, implementing and utilizing program control processes, procedures and related tools, as well as ensuring relevant people are trained.
- Responsible for defining and implementing the program governance structure, taking the lead in reporting out to senior management.
- Responsible for development, implementation, utilization and tracking of a program integrated activity schedule to ensure meeting agreed program milestones.
- Managing the program's budget - controlling commitments, spending and forecasts against baseline budgets, as well as providing cost analyses as needed.
- Managing overall program risks and issues and lead definition of corrective actions, as well as monitoring actions progress.
- Managing program changes (changes to scope, organization, etc) according to a change management process.
- Working closely with the HR function, manage the required changes in the organisation as the program is delivered.
- Implementing an efficient communications structure between Workstream Leads, PMO, stakeholders and stakeholders outside of the BU.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require :
15 years experience with managing business transformation programs in manufacturing industry, preferably animal / aquafeed, food, FMCG or fine chemicals.
5 years experience with PMO / program management roles, managing the scope, budget and schedule of a complex program.
5 years experience with managing teams of subject matter experts in an international environment.
Minimum Bachelor level education.Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and writing).Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing), both to local teams and to senior management levels.We offer :
