It Systems Engineer (9-Month Contract With Bonus Incentives)

We’re seeking a number of IT Systems Engineers to join our client on an initial 9 month fixed term contract working on a hybrid model (2-3 days per week onsite) in either Barcelona or Madrid.

In this role, you will manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure for the organization to be in line with company guidelines and SOP (standard operating procedure), and install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

In this role you will receive a base salary, plus bonus and retention bonus.

What you'll do

• Install, configure, and test operating systems, application software, and system management tools
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure to ensure compliance with company guidelines and SOPs
• Ensure maximum system and infrastructure uptime and availability
• Plan and implement system automation to improve efficiency
• Design, document, and implement IT policies and procedures to standardize day-to-day operations
• Monitor and maintain the office network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and provide secure, reliable VPN access to internal resources
• Apply security best practices such as patching, access control, endpoint protection, and policy enforcement
• Handle general software administration and user
