IT and Cloud Engineer

We’re looking for a hands-on IT and Cloud Engineer to join our start-up, we expect the person to own the technical infrastructure in Google Cloud (GCP) that supports our AI-driven risk intelligence system. In collaboration with our Head of Technology, you will define and implement our cloud architecture, create and implement DevOps and security operations, and ensure the platform is built to meet future compliance standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2).

This role spans everything in the IT and Cloud space from choosing and managing cloud providers to deploying event-driven microservices, securing data pipelines, managing certificates and domains, create and manage resources such as VPCs, VMs, Kubernetes Clusters, Remote Device Management for MacBooks, User Accounts in Google, whilst supporting our Development team and laying the foundation for reliable, scalable operations.

Requirements

What you'll Do :

• Design and implement our cloud architecture for data pipelines, web apps, and ML services
• Build the DevSecOps pipeline to support continuous integration, deployment, monitoring, and rollback
• Architect and deploy a secure event-driven backend to support ingest, processing, and real-time updates
• Manage cloud provider accounts, DNS, TLS / SSL certificates, and IAM / Secrets management
• Lead efforts to meet future compliance standards : ISO27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.
• Set up logging, observability, backup, and disaster recovery frameworks from day one
• Design and implement Monitoring and alerting solutions
• Choose and manage best-in-class third-party infrastructure and security vendors
• Collaborate closely with the AI / ML and web application teams to ensure smooth deployment and scaling
• Drive a culture of security and resilience across engineering and business processes
• Device Management over MDM for Apple products (Macbooks)
• Support productivity tools evaluation and selection
• Creating and managing User Accounts in Google Workspace
• Monitoring, Alerting, Reporting, and issue resolution
