Overview
The primary role of the Accounting Manager is to oversee and direct all activities within the Group Shared Services Center in Madrid, ensuring compliance with group and local processes for each country. This position involves managing a team of accountants and vendor accountants, preparing financial reports under the instructions of the Group Financial Services & Accounting department, and ensuring financial compliance within the Group Shared Services Center and the countries.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of employees in the Group Shared Services Center.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs on the center's activity to the HQ team.
- Ensure good communication and regular exchanges with accounting managers in each country.
- Report to the HQ Financial Services Team and develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring their local application.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Manage internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide relevant financial information.
- Train and develop the accounting team.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of experience in an accounting firm (big four type is a plus), preferably in a leadership positionKnowledge of accounting in Spain and ability to learn other countries\' regulationStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesExperience with SAP, Real Estate companies, and other financial management toolsCompetencies
