Job Title : Cloud Service Manager
The Cloud Service Manager is a critical role that oversees the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of cloud services across the organization. This individual serves as a bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers, ensuring that services meet business requirements, comply with standards, and achieve agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of cloud services, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
Define, track, and report on SLAs, KPIs, and service metrics, ensuring alignment with business needs.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in service quality, cost efficiency, and user experience.
Manage incident, problem, and change processes, ensuring smooth service operations.
Partner with business stakeholders and vendors to maintain compliance, manage risks, and optimize contracts.
Promote best practices in cloud governance, cost optimization (FinOps), and security compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
This role requires a strong understanding of cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud governance. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in service performance monitoring and reporting, familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies, and a strong understanding of security, compliance, and risk management in cloud environments.
Optional Skills & Certifications
Certifications : ITIL v4, PMP, FinOps Certified Practitioner.
Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud strategies.
Exposure to Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of vendor and contract management.
Background & Education
A Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience and recognized certifications may substitute for formal education.
