Job Title : Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location : Málaga, Spain (Hybrid)

The company : An international tech scale-up, building data-driven solutions that help businesses solve complex problems such as fraud detection, financial crime prevention, and large-scale data management. The R&D team is made up of engineers, data specialists, and designers working on highly scalable distributed systems and modern front-end applications.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and delivery of full stack solutions within an agile R&D team.

Build scalable back-end services (Scala / Java, microservices, event sourcing, CQRS).

Develop rich, extensible front-end applications (TypeScript, Angular, modern frameworks).

Ensure solutions integrate seamlessly within wider systems.

Contribute across the full engineering lifecycle from design to deployment.

Mentor engineers and promote best practices.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer (Scala + Angular preferred, Java + other modern frameworks considered).

Strong background in building distributed, scalable systems.

Experience across the full SDLC.

Familiarity with functional programming and JVM ecosystem.

Bonus

Knowledge of tools / tech such as Akka / Pekko, Cats, Monix, Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes.

Interest in AI development tools and a keen eye for design / UX are a plus.
