Overview

The Energy Storage Market Analyst reports to the Global Head of Energy Storage and belongs to the Energy Storage department, which oversees all aspects related to standalone and hybrid energy storage assets.
In this role, you will study global energy markets, prepare internal reports, executive briefings, and monitor the global energy regulatory environment. You will also maintain market consultant relationships, evaluate their assumptions, develop revenue modeling capabilities for our assets, and assess the performance of the asset hedging portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain revenue models for standalone energy storage and hybrid assets.
- Analyze global energy markets, including contract structures, price dynamics, revenue streams, and settlement mechanisms.
- Monitor the global regulatory and technological environment.
- Maintain relationships with market consultants and evaluate their assumptions.
- Conduct sensitivity analyses and risk assessments to support investment decisions and evaluate impact on existing portfolios.
- Develop energy trading and market participation strategies for standalone and hybrid energy storage assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance of models and existing assets.
- Provide data-driven strategic insights to senior management.
Requirements
Detailed knowledge of global energy markets and its key drivers.Mathematical techno-economic optimization and financial modeling skills.At least 2 years of experience in the renewable energy sector.Advanced knowledge of MS Office and VBA.Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and optimization.Strong communication skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Highly systematic and strategic mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environments.Solid organizational skills and a focus on detail.Bachelor's or master's degree in Energy, Advanced engineering, Renewable energy, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related field.Proficiency in English.What We Offer
