Billing representative

Overview The Premium Billing Representative at Cigna is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring understanding of invoicing needs and the timely and accurate issuing of invoices. The role involves helping clients understand invoicing details, investigating issues, and liaising with the Sales & Client Management Team, Underwriters, finance, and legal across IOH, B2G and NGO business lines. Regular peer reviews and policy condition checks are part of a quality control process.

Main Duties / Responsibilities Review and set up groups within our administration and billing system

Calculate premium in accordance with the rates and premium set-up specified in the policy

Invoice clients according to the agreed billing frequency; this may include creating manual invoices

Engage with clients by telephone and email to build relationships and educate

Investigate invoice queries, coordinating with other departments and IT as necessary

Ensure accurate and timely settlement of premiums / fees to insurers

Ensure accurate and timely settlement of commissions to brokers

Follow all legal, compliance and internal procedures

Proactively manage workload to meet turnaround times
