Job Description Summary
The Sales and Business Development Manager will be responsible for assessing business opportunities across several European countries, with a special focus on Spain and Portugal.
This role involves contributing new ideas to increase the competitiveness of GE Vernova’s ONW product, coordinating with various departments, and leading the commercial strategy for key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Generate and assess commercial opportunities within the assigned geographic area.
- Maximize customer value and sales through high-added-value solutions within an appropriate level of risk.
- Support GE Vernova Wind Onshore business in other countries as required, leveraging knowledge and relationships.
- Manage all commercial aspects of customer relationships, including leading relationships with designated key accounts in other geographic areas.
- Act as the single point of contact between industry associations in Spain and Portugal and GE Vernova Wind Onshore.
- Participate in meetings and defend GE Vernova’s interests.
- Take new perspectives on existing solutions and use technical experience for data analysis to support recommendations.
- Identify new partners to increase the competitiveness of GE Vernova’s products and services.
- Prepare budgets for wind onshore projects and evaluate GE Vernova’s competitive position.
- Assess opportunities and ensure compliance with internal approval and assessment processes.
- Develop specialized knowledge of the latest commercial developments in the renewable energy industry.
- Contribute towards strategy and policy development and ensure business metric delivery within the area of responsibility.
- Interact with other GE Vernova businesses to structure global energy solutions for customers.
- Interface and communicate effectively with renewables C-suite executives to develop long-term relationships.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college.Proficiency in Spanish and English.Strong oral and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.Established project management skills.Self-starter with high energy, willingness to cold-call and network, and an ability to energize others.Significant experience in sales, preferable in the wind sector.Work Environment
Primarily office-based, willing to travel around 50% of the time mainly through Spain and Portugal.May require working in various locations within Europe.Additional Information
