Overview This position is responsible for overseeing the entire guest experience related to cleanliness and stateroom service.
Responsibilities The Director of Housekeeping must possess exceptional hospitality, communication, and organizational skills in addition to effective decision-making abilities.
Paying close attention to detail, this individual will be held fully accountable for the quality of all guests' experiences.
They will take full ownership and accountability for the maintenance and cleanliness of each assigned area and services leading their team.
Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing personalized services including needs assessment techniques, quality service standards, alternative delivery systems, and guest satisfaction evaluation techniques is also required.
Qualifications To excel in this role, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent preferred. Additionally, five to seven years of housekeeping managerial experience in an upscale hotel, resort, or cruise line; shipboard experience preferred.
