The Cancer Genome Engineering Group, led by Dr. Francisco Barriga , is seeking a motivated and skilled Bioinformatics Scientist with genomic and transcriptomic expertise to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research to dissect the function of copy number alterations in cancer biology. The research team uses genome engineering approaches and functional studies in mouse models and clinical samples, which allows deep mechanistic insight in the role of large-scale chromosomal changes. The successful candidate will play a key role in co-leading the analysis of genomic DNA, single-cell and bulk RNA sequencing data across multiple projects involving mouse and human specimens, collaborating with other team members, with the possibility to also develop independent projects.
