Overview
Electrical Engineer for High Voltage Substations. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in designing and maintaining high voltage substations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of primary substation equipment operating principles, design, construction, and testing.
Responsibilities
- Developing and reviewing engineering designs for high-voltage substations
- Performing electrical calculations, including equipment sizing, short-circuit studies, insulation coordination, grounding studies, and power cable selection
- Preparing technical specifications for primary equipment purchase, ensuring compliance with national and international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.) and specific project requirements
- Supervising manufacturing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), transport, and installation phases of primary equipment
- Managing the technical interface with suppliers, contractors, and other departments involved in the project
- Leading on-site assembly and installation of primary equipment, ensuring correct execution according to plans and specifications
Requirements
University Degree in Electrical Engineering or similarMinimum 7 years experience in designing, specifying, installing, and / or maintaining primary equipment in high-voltage electrical substations (preferably 220kV or higher, both AIS and GIS)Experience interpreting electrical drawings and control schematicsExperience supervising construction and commissioning of substations valuedExtensive knowledge of primary substation equipment operating principles, design, construction, and testingFamiliarity with international technical standards (IEC, IEEE)Knowledge of electrical design and simulation software (e.g., ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory, AutoCAD Electrical)Preferred Qualifications
