The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing energy storage systems with a focus on lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen, and other emerging technologies. This role plays a key part in the development of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and ensuring their seamless integration with the grid and other renewable sources such as solar and wind power.

Key responsibilities include :

• Supporting the design and implementation of BESS
• Collaborating in the analysis of battery performance data and control systems to optimize efficiency
• Coordinating the integration of storage systems with the grid and other renewable sources
• Conducting technical studies to evaluate project feasibility and system sizing
• Supporting in the selection of energy storage suppliers and equipment
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to improve the performance and profitability of storage systems

The successful candidate will have a degree in Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering, or similar. They should also have 2-3 years of experience in energy storage, renewables, or electrical systems.

A strong understanding of battery systems, inverters, and energy controllers is essential, as well as familiarity with modeling and simulation software for storage systems such as HOMER, PVSyst, MATLAB, Python, etc. Experience with integrating storage systems into the electrical grid and ability to interpret electrical diagrams and perform performance data analysis are also highly desirable.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of applicable regulations and standards for energy storage, strong teamwork skills, and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments. Certifications related to energy storage or electrical networks and programming skills for data analysis (Python, SQL, etc.) are also preferred.
