As a Business Controller, you will :
- Monitor financial condition and cash flow, ensuring financial balance.
- Record and report revenue and costs transactions.
- Analyze financial data and budgets, minimize risk, and ensure efficient financial administrative processes in accordance with regulations and group guidelines.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, explaining variances.
- Collaborate with department heads for accurate and timely forecasting.
- Conduct profitability and cost analyses to support business initiatives.
- Evaluate the financial impact of potential projects and investments.
- Provide financial analysis-based recommendations to improve performance.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
- Automate and streamline financial processes where possible.
- Work closely with departments like Sales, Marketing, and Operations to gather relevant data.
- Support cross-functional projects with financial analysis and business case development.
- Act as a liaison between finance and other business units.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities.
- Assist in internal and external audits as required.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
- Propose and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
What you will bring :
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Business Controller, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding.Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Fluency in English; Portuguese, Spanish, and French are a plus.Flexibility to travel 20-30% of the time.LI-CR1
