What You’ll Do Business Partnering : Act as a trusted advisor to leadership of the Flight Systems Business and finance team, providing financial guidance on decisions such as financial analysis on new products, sales contracts, partnerships, M&A, and investments. Manage multiple production locations and R&D centers across Europe, with rapid expansion.
Establishing Financial Processes : Design and implement key financial controls, processes, and reporting systems. Perform monthly financial planning, yearly budgeting, and forecasting for the division. Ensure compliance with European defense sector financial regulations.
Cost Management and Control : Set up mechanisms to track and control production costs, capital investments, and operating expenses. Collaborate with procurement and production teams to establish cost control measures and identify savings opportunities.
Financial Reporting and Analysis : Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports, including variance analysis and performance insights. Support decision-making for new product profitability and growth initiatives. Develop KPIs to measure financial and operational performance.
Supporting Production Ramp-Up : Provide financial input for production expansion, capital expenditures, and resource allocation. Manage financial aspects of contracts with suppliers and clients as the business scales.
Risk Management and Compliance : Establish internal controls, identify, and mitigate financial risks associated with scaling, such as supply chain disruptions and operational inefficiencies.
What You’ll Need Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional qualifications (CA, CPA, etc.) or MBA preferred.
10+ years in financial controlling or business analysis, preferably in fast-growing manufacturing or regulated industries like aerospace & defense.
Experience building financial systems, processes, and controls from scratch.
Knowledge of European financial regulations and defense standards is a plus.
Strong financial modeling, cost control, and budgeting skills, with proficiency in ERP systems like MS Dynamics.
Fluent in English; willing to travel 20-30%; hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable, excellent communicator, and strategic thinker.
