Overview Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer
The primary focus of this role is to manage, maintain and optimize the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring it operates at peak performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities Oversee the management of Windows and Linux servers, Citrix farms, and network infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.
Develop and implement new IT environments based on business needs and certifications, driving innovation and growth.
Identify areas for improvement and support automation and capacity expansion initiatives, enhancing the overall IT landscape.
Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, and CMDB records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Participate in internal IT projects and collaborate with global IT teams to resolve complex technical issues and drive results.
Troubleshoot issues and provide level 3 support, including scheduled monthly weekend maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Assist Help Desk with infrastructure-related issues and support IT security audits, providing expert guidance and expertise.
A typical day as a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer includes :
Monitoring server performance and responding to alerts, ensuring prompt action and resolution.
Implementing new technologies and systems to improve efficiency, driving innovation and growth.
Collaborating with other teams to resolve complex technical issues, sharing expertise and knowledge.
Developing and maintaining documentation and knowledge bases, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have :
University degree in Computer Science or related field.
Certifications : CCNA and vendor certifications (PaloAlto, Fortinet...), MCSA / MCSE or AZ-800 / 801.
5+ years of experience managing server environments and Cisco networks, with a proven track record of success.
Familiarity with tools like Nagios, Wireshark, Nmap, and scripting for automation.
Solid experience in IT change management (ITIL framework), with a focus on process improvement and compliance.
Knowledge of SQL Server, IIS, Linux environments, and scripting for automation, with a strong understanding of system architecture.
Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written), with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
