Data Science Team Leader

What’s the opportunity?

As our Data Science Team Leader, you'll be in charge of leading a data science team and the models, analyses, and data products that team owns. Your team will build high-impact, scalable, production-grade machine learning models and data solutions. You will be leading a talented data science team that works on mission-critical business problems with big customers like Netflix, Amazon, Nike, Facebook & more! The different members of the team will report directly to you, and you will be involved in helping develop their careers within the company.

What will I be doing?

• You'll be responsible for the week-to-week project planning of your team and keeping each member accountable for their deliverables
• As a technical lead, a key part of your role is to be a people manager. It's vital you dedicate time to mentoring and managing your team members
• You'll be expected to drive the analytical and modeling direction in projects and ensure they meet accuracy, scalability, and business impact requirements
• You'll be hands-on with projects, getting deep into data analysis, modeling, and code, and be looked upon as the senior authority in data science methodologies, statistical analysis, and machine learning implementation
• You'll be responsible for hiring for your team
• You'll be responsible for communicating insights, project status, and planning between other teams and business stakeholders
