Our client, a global leading IT company, is recruiting for a Transmission Network Engineer to join their business in Spain.

Overview

Position Title : Transmission Network Engineer

Position Type : Contract and Employee

Start Date : ASAP

Location : Madrid, Spain

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers regarding transmission network issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems related to transmission equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions.
Diagnose and address customer concerns related to transmission devices.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of support activities and resolutions.
Plan, develop and perform network upgrades and updates.
Engage in proactive analysis to prevent potential risks, ensuring network safety.
Be able to participate in an on-call shift to handle urgent issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in transmission engineering or related technical support roles.

In-depth knowledge of transmission technologies including DWDM, Microwave (RTN) and Legacy PTN.

Strong understanding of network protocols and standards.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage several tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.

Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for network troubleshooting.

English and Spanish Fluent

Able to support on-call service
