Overview
Product Director – Spain plays a pivotal role in defining and executing the product strategy across all categories within the Spanish market.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning : Collaborate with senior leadership to develop product strategies and annual plans aligned with regional business objectives and market share growth.
- Product Portfolio Management : Lead cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to define the optimal product mix supporting both volume and value growth.
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor local teams ensuring strong coordination with Central Product Management for category strategy execution, NPI, and stock optimization.
- Category Ownership : Take full ownership of dedicated product categories driving strategic execution and operational efficiency across systems and processes with best practices applied across all categories.
- Product Lifecycle Management : Oversee new and existing model lifecycles ensuring smooth introductions and timely phase-outs in collaboration with HQ, Supply Chain, and local departments.
- Profitability & Cost Efficiency : Monitor category performance working with HQ teams on initiatives to improve profitability through cost optimization and strategic NPI.
- Market & Competitive Analysis : Conduct ongoing market research and competitive benchmarking including price positioning, product features, design trends, and retail placement via direct dealer interaction and channel analysis.
- Product Communication & Go-to-Market : Deliver compelling product presentations to dealers and internal stakeholders ensuring high-quality promotional and digital content is developed in alignment with Iberia Marketing.
- Pricing & Positioning Strategy : Clarify product range positioning and define pricing strategies based on thorough market mapping competitor intelligence and retail pricing research.
- Systems & Data Management : Manage product data updates in internal systems and ensure clear internal communication on product changes and availability.
- Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with production plants and Central Product teams to ensure project timelines for new products are met.
- Dealer Support : Act as a point of contact for product-related queries supporting dealers with relevant materials aligning with local marketing efforts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
