Contract Management Analyst

THE ROLE

The Commercial Analyst role sits within the Commercial team at WiseEnergy and plays a critical role in managing contractual obligations, revenue streams, and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of renewable energy assets in Iberia. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in contract management , including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) , Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs) , Land lease agreements, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractsa and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) contracts .

This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Commercial Manager , with flexible working arrangements available from our Madrid office or remotely.

While the primary focus is on assets in the Iberia market , the role also supports WiseEnergy’s broader international portfolio.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the management of commercial contracts , including PPAs, SPAs, leases, EPC contracts, O&M contracts, and market representation agreements, ensuring compliance, timely renewals, and alignment with project objectives.
• Draft, review, and issue formal contractual communications and notices, and manage resolution of non-compliance issues.
• Oversee the contract lifecycle , including onboarding of new sites, extraction of key terms, and integration into WiseEnergy’s contract management system.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and licensing requirements , coordinating with internal teams and external advisors to maintain project integrity and legal standing.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of internal contract management processes and tools.
• Coordinate with the technical and finance teams to ensure contractual obligations are clearly understood and met across departments.
• Prepare revenue budgets and forecasts, and support the development of asset operating budgets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance through timely data submissions and coordination with external advisors.
• Manage insurance renewals and claims, and maintain relationships with landowners and other stakeholders.
• Support ESG compliance and reporting requirements.
• Contribute to the development of annual Asset Operating Plans with a focus on contractual performance and obligations.
• Approve invoices related to contractual obligations and ensure alignment with agreed terms.
• Participate in ad hoc commercial and contract-related projects.
