The Challenge Shipping is at the heart of Wallapop’s user experience, connecting millions of buyers and sellers every day. We are looking for a Shipping Operations Specialist to ensure a seamless, reliable, and cost‑efficient shipping experience across Italy, Portugal, and future new markets.
You’ll be responsible for managing relationships with third‑party logistics providers and postal operators, driving continuous improvement in service quality, and ensuring the successful delivery of our shipping roadmap.
This role sits within the Transactional Business team and reports directly to the Operations Director, collaborating closely with Product, Tech, Analytics, Research, Finance, and our external partners.
What You Will Do Collect business requirements from internal stakeholders and external carrier partners, translating them into clear, actionable projects.
Lead cross‑functional initiatives to deliver on the shipping roadmap, ensuring alignment between product developments and operational needs.
Measure, monitor, and improve shipping service performance (delivery times, pickup rates, reliability, customer satisfaction).
Identify process bottlenecks and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and user experience.
Lead negotiations with logistics partners, defining contractual terms, SLAs, and pricing conditions that support Wallapop’s growth and profitability.
Manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure delivery excellence and cost efficiency.
Work closely with Product, Tech, and Data teams to ensure operational and technical solutions are aligned with business goals.
Communicate plans, priorities, and trade‑offs clearly to all stakeholders — ensuring transparency and accountability.
What We’re Looking For 3–6 years of experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management, ideally within e‑commerce, marketplaces, or parcel delivery environments.
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with experience leading cross‑functional initiatives.
Solid analytical mindset and ability to interpret performance data (Excel / Looker experience is a plus).
Experience managing relationships and negotiations with logistics partners or postal operators.
Fluent in English, Spanish and / or Italian is a plus.
Proactive, structured, and outcome‑oriented mindset with attention to operational details.
Do note that all our jobs are Barcelona based. We follow a hybrid model where flexibility rules. We commit to a minimum of 6 days per month in the office. Each team self‑organizes to decide on cadence and in‑person / remote rituals.
