Project Manager – Delivery Operations – Digital Products

We are looking for a Project Manager with more than 2 years of experience in project management of digital products and solutions.

The projects we execute in Galeo are digital transformation projects involving technologies such as IoT, data platforms, advanced analytics models etc... generally based on cloud architectures and combined with AI capabilities that allow to exploit, build or operate them.

Galeo’s main clients are from sectors such as industry, energy companies, utilities, and in general companies that manage and operate infrastructures and buildings. But we also work with industrial equipment manufacturers, component and automotive manufacturers, as well as with companies and startups that provide digital services to their customers in the photovoltaic, hospitality and hotel sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities These will be your main functions :

Your main responsibility will be to coordinate development and service teams, to achieve the success of projects with our customers. This requires taking responsibility and coordinating the team to meet objectives, deadlines and expectations of your project.

To do so, you will have to manage with the client the different situations that occur throughout a project, from planning, work management, risk control...

You will also have to work closely with the Technical Director of the project to define tasks, manage delivery, ensure the quality of deliverables, manage the provision of resources and compliance with deadlines.

In customer collaborations, your role will be important to ensure that the solution we develop has a positive impact on the customer’s activities and processes. It will be your task to collaborate with the customer in the correct transfer of knowledge to the customer’s teams and the delivery of appropriate documentation.

In addition, we also expect you to identify opportunities and initiatives that will allow us to establish a long-lasting relationship with the customer, with additional projects and collaborative services.

For this you will be fully supported by the Galeo sales teams, and you will work closely with the sales teams of each customer and solution.

Professional Competencies Here is something important, what skills and experience are expected of you? Fundamentally, that you have a desire to work in a team, that you are passionate about technology, that you are a neat, responsible and initiative person. But also :

That you have experience with tangible results in the last 2-3 years managing digitization projects (Data, IoT, Cloud or a mix of all of them).

If you have used Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban, that’s fine, but we are not obsessed with them. It is more important that you have experience with project and task management software like JIRA, Trello, PMBOK, Prince2, Runn.io, Monday .....

That you have knowledge and familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and solutions based on technologies such as IoT, AI, DevOps.

It is important that you have a good understanding of how a product or software development lifecycle (SDLC) works.

Of course we need you to have team and customer relationship skills, as well as be comfortable communicating and presenting ideas, reports, results to customers, peers and collaborators.

Modality and location Asturias Option

The place of work for the proposed position is in Asturias, in the company’s offices in Oviedo.

We flexibly combine face-to-face and remote work, and we leave it up to you to find the best combination for your case. But we believe that important things happen in the office, so we will ask you to adapt remote work so that you don’t miss them.

If you don’t live in Asturias, and working in Galeo may be an option to consider, we can help you.

Other option

The company has offices in Madrid and Oviedo, however, a good part of the Galeo team works from other locations. So we do not rule out any candidate because of their location, as long as we can find a remote work model that meets the needs of the position. Occasional travel may be a solution.
