Cardiovascular Diagnostics & Services (CDS) is a dynamic, growing business line. Our ambition is to lead in connecting patients, caregivers, and clinicians from diagnosis to treatment with real-time information and value-added services to improve quality of life for patients at lower costs. We offer products and services that help customers identify heart arrhythmias using an insertable cardiac monitor (ICM).

The role of the Market Development Specialist is to increase the market penetration of Medtronic Insertable Cardiac Monitors in the Syncope & Cryptogenic Stroke patient populations. This role focuses on removing barriers that healthcare providers and patients currently face when trying to access this technology.

The working territory includes Murcia, Comunidad de Valencia, Aragón, Cataluña, and Islas Baleares, with potential travel to other parts of Europe for customer and business purposes.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Developing new opportunities for expanding product use and acceptance in existing clinics and new centers.
  • Optimizing and establishing patient pathways for stroke and syncope indications, and creating centers of excellence.
  • Managing regional development and engagement with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Raising awareness of indications through peer-to-peer meetings with local sales teams.
  • Identifying and maintaining contact with external stakeholders in the patient pathway, including cardiologists, neurologists, nurses, procurement, coding professionals, and others.
  • Developing and implementing regional training, education programs, and round tables for external stakeholders, such as referring physicians.
  • Collaborating with the field service and market development teams to create and optimize patient pathways and ensure alignment of national and international programs.
  • Creating and tracking an annual regional market development plan in cooperation with marketing and market development teams.
  • Working closely with the reimbursement team to communicate health economic information and with marketing to develop promotional materials and digital solutions.
  • Collaborating with all relevant business areas, including Cardiovascular Overlay and Neurovascular.
  • Recording and reporting clinical, market, and competitive information, trends, and developments to the Strategic Marketing Team.
  • Participating in regional, national, and international meetings and congresses.
  • Using account planning tools to strategize and execute account tactics, track KPIs, and manage projects and process improvements.
  • Partnering with CRM sales reps, technical consultants, and district managers to ensure project execution.

Required Knowledge and Experience :

  • Over 5 years of sales experience in Medtech or Pharma.
  • Degree in business, technology, or medical fields.
  • Experience in a clinical or medical technology sales role.
  • Current or previous experience as a nurse or healthcare professional in cardiology, neurology, intensive care, operating theater, or emergency services, with interest in transitioning to field service or industry experience.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and medical technology.
  • Fluent in English (reading, speaking, writing).
  • Driver’s license.
  • Friendly, open, service-oriented, motivated, and committed.
  • Solution-oriented with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience working in a large corporation.
