About The Role

At Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, we are looking for a passionate Catering Sales Manager. Reporting into the Director of Catering Sales, you will be responsible for booking a variety of event business and coordinating with all department staff involved in fulfilling the needs of events and guests. You will prospect, sell, plan, and service both corporate and social events while upholding food and service standards and maximizing revenue and profit potential.

What You Will Do Actively prospect and solicit, develop, and maintain local corporate event accounts through telephone, personal sales calls, trade shows, and on-site entertainment.

Demonstrate appropriate timeliness in getting proposals to clients.

Assist with all inquiries within the sales, marketing and catering department, including assistance with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections.

Research new market opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate companies or organizations likely to produce business for the hotel, invite potential users to tour the property, and conduct individual tours to highlight facilities and services and achieve maximum revenue / profit potential while satisfying client needs.

Coordinate the sales efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.

Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, bedrooms, capacities and dimensions of meeting spaces.

Continuously update Golden Sales & Catering with events information (room hire, catering services and menus).

Prepare Banquet Event Orders and issue them per Four Seasons standards.

Attend BEO meetings with hotel staff and regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination between departments.

Serve as the liaison between the client and the hotel for all client needs (catering and events, audio visual, transportation, off-site event recommendations).

Ensure and supervise the successful execution of events in compliance with Four Seasons standards.

Communicate, coordinate, and motivate all departments so client needs are exceeded.

Find solutions to challenges that arise while clients are on property.

Upsell additional services to maximize revenue in food & beverage programs, audio visual and room hire.

Maintain accurate revenue for all streams in Golden Sales & Catering for precise weekly and monthly forecasts.

Contribute to weekly forecast and month-end financial summaries as required by the Director of Catering.

Achieve yearly personal and team sales booking goals.

Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of each program.

Facilitate and monitor training of catering trainees, coordinators, executives and new team members.

Wedding prospects with high contract conclusion percentage; conduct sales calls for wedding agencies / planners and maintain relationships.

Maintain a competitive edge by developing new menus, theme party ideas, and ways to attract new and repeat business.

Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the Director of Catering.

What You Bring Minimum 3–4 years of demonstrated expertise in managing high-end events, preferably at luxury 5-star hotels.

Proven experience managing both corporate and social events (weddings, banquets, conferences, MICE, etc.).

Strong knowledge of budget management, client negotiation, and contract closing.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Fluent in Spanish and English; an additional language is a plus.

Demonstrates composure and effective decision-making when facing challenging situations.
