Job Summary
The role of IT Support Specialist entails providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to IT support tickets via phone, email or in-person.
- Install, configure and maintain software and hardware such as desktops, laptops, printers etc.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Set up and manage user accounts, permissions and passwords in Active Directory.
- Support remote employees via remote access tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP.
- Perform routine system maintenance and updates regularly.
- Ensure proper documentation of issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
- Collaborate with other IT team members on larger projects.
- Monitor IT assets and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Provide support for network and connectivity issues including Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN etc.
- Maintain data security and compliance with organizational policies.
