GRM Data & Analytics is the Discipline, within the Global Risk Management function, responsible for the development of methodologies and models for risk measurement in the BBVA group. The analysis and use of new data sources and the implementation of the most advanced modelling techniques for risk purposes is the core activity of our team.

About the job
Based in Madrid, the successful candidate will join the Transformation CoE (Centre of Expertise) within the GRM Data & Analytics area, a spearhead of innovation within BBVA’s global holding, and will assume the leadership of data transformation projects in the development of Risk Modelling Innovation Lab, covering risk models, calibrations and capital / provisions calculations among other tasks. This role will be central to BBVA’s strategic transformation of risk analytics, combining advanced modelling with automation, MLOps and GenAI to build scalable, modern solutions with direct impact across all geographies. It is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual who is keen to join a very ambitious and transformational project in a high performance team. You will have access to state of the art tools, including GenAI solutions from OpenAI, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, together with the full capacity of cloud infrastructure, enabling you to deliver next generation risk management solutions. As part of the transversal Advanced Analytics area, we provide a comprehensive training plan in machine learning and generative AI, developed in collaboration with the University of Navarra, Universidad Carlos III and BBVA’s internal programs. This is complemented by specialized training in finance, banking and regulatory knowledge.
