About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Energy Storage Specialist to join our team in Sevilla. The ideal candidate will have experience with designing, implementing and optimizing energy storage systems, focusing on lithium-ion batteries, hydrogen and other emerging technologies.

This role will play a key part in supporting the design and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), analyzing battery performance data and control systems to optimize efficiency, coordinating integrating storage systems with the grid and other renewable sources (solar, wind, etc.), conducting technical studies to evaluate project feasibility and system sizing, supporting selecting energy storage suppliers and equipment, collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies to improve the performance and profitability of storage systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Support the design and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Collaborate in analyzing battery performance data and control systems to optimize efficiency.
Coordinate integrating storage systems with the grid and other renewable sources (solar, wind, etc.).
Conduct technical studies to evaluate project feasibility and system sizing.
Support selecting energy storage suppliers and equipment.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to improve the performance and profitability of storage systems.

Requirements :

University degree in Electrical, Energy, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering, or similar.

2-3 years of experience in energy storage, renewables or electrical systems.

Knowledge of battery systems, inverters and energy controllers.

Familiarity with modeling and simulation software for storage systems (e.g., HOMER, PVSyst, MATLAB, Python, etc.).

Experience with integrating storage systems into the electrical grid.

Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and perform performance data analysis.

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards for energy storage.

Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments.

Experience with SCADA, EMS, or Battery Management Systems (BMS).

Certifications related to energy storage or electrical networks.

Programming skills for data analysis (Python, SQL, etc.).
