Senior Renewable Energy Specialist

Project Developer Our team is seeking a passionate individual to play a key role in scaling up the Iberia portfolio by developing utility-scale BESS projects from site identification to commissioning. This opportunity involves designing smart, flexible systems (standalone and hybrid with wind / solar), assessing grid capacity and managing interconnection processes, navigating permitting and regulations with local authorities, engaging with grid operators, engineers, and key energy stakeholders, shaping regional storage strategy in a fast-growing market, collaborating with internal teams (engineering, legal, financial) to ensure successful project execution, and ensuring compliance with HSE standards.

Responsibilities Design and develop utility-scale BESS projects from site identification to commissioning; design smart, flexible systems (standalone and hybrid with wind / solar); assess grid capacity and manage interconnection processes; navigate permitting and regulations with local authorities; engage with grid operators, engineers, and key energy stakeholders; shape regional storage strategy in a fast-growing market; collaborate with internal teams (engineering, legal, financial) to ensure successful project execution; ensure compliance with HSE standards.

Qualifications 5+ years in renewables, with strong BESS / hybrid project experience in the Iberia region.

Strong knowledge of Spain and Portugal's electrical transmission and distribution systems.

Understanding of the Iberia regulatory environment, including permitting, licensing, and compliance.

Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus).
