The Difference You Will Make :

We are looking for a bright and talented attorney to join our EMEA legal team as Counsel supporting a broad range of legal matters for Spain and Portugal. While the role will have a particular focus on regulatory issues and litigation you will also serve as the primary legal point of contact providing guidance across a wide array of legal topics as they arise. We\'re seeking someone who is passionate about Airbnb and travel and who exercises sound judgment in balancing legal risk with business strategy. You should be able to work independently in a fast-paced and demanding environment and have a proven ability to quickly master new areas of law. We value adaptability and collaboration and we\'re looking for someone who can navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities with flexibility patience and poise. Based in our Barcelona office you will be a key member of the EMEA legal team and will report to the Senior Counsel for Spain & Portugal.

A Typical Day

• Provide effective business-focused day-to-day legal advice to all our business teams on a broad range of issues including EU and regulatory compliance litigation consumer rights e-commerce laws and intellectual property.
• Deliver clear practical guidance that enables our business partners to achieve their objectives while mitigating legal risk and prioritizing the interests of our community.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across EMEA and globally to ensure consistent aligned legal advice.
• Proactively draft review and refine internal processes policies and workflows.
• Instruct and manage outside counsel as needed ensuring the delivery of cost-effective business-orientated legal advice.
• Stay up to date on legal and regulatory developments affecting Airbnb\'s businesses.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required including occasional travel to the United States.
• Build and maintain strong relationships to establish yourself as a trusted partner to key stakeholders.
• Clearly communicate legal risks and mitigation strategies to both legal and non-legal audiences considering regulatory and other relevant factors.

Your Location :

Strong preference for the role to be based in Barcelona though other locations within Spain may be considered - particularly those within reasonable commuting distance to either Barcelona or Madrid.
