Sr. Commercial Business Development Manager, ProBio CDMO
We are seeking a highly motivated business development professional to join our European BD team. This role offers the opportunity to build and expand experience across biologics and GCT spaces.
Job Scope
ProBio proactively provides end-to-end CDMO services from drug discovery to commercialization with proactive strategies, professional solutions and efficient processes in cell and gene therapy, vaccine, biologics discovery and antibody protein drugs to accelerate drug development for customers. ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the business development strategy and oversee its effective execution to achieve financial goals in several EU countries / regions.
- Build country-specific strategies for regional market penetration and funnel of opportunities and deliver on revenue plans.
- Work closely with internal teams to promote and evaluate customer business needs and serve as the main contact for business acquisition.
- Proactively prospect potential customers for the whole CDMO service lines and build long-term relationships with customers.
- Provide accurate CRM input regarding sales activities, forecast, and lost reporting as well as competitive information.
- Lead in opportunity assessment, financial justification, due diligence, transaction design, contract negotiation, and completion of deals, including strategic partnerships and co-development.
- Take the lead in strategic accounts management and strategic deal-making.
- Build and maintain a professional network with external companies and KOLs in the biopharma industry.
- Up to 50% of business travel is required for customer visits.
Education / Experience
University degree in life sciences; PhD is a plus.Hunter’s mindset with EU biotech / Pharma customer network preferred.Fluent and professional English; additional European language is a plus.At least 5 years’ experience in leading business development or commercial support, sales, project management, marketing and related functions in pharmaceutical or CRO / CDMO with a proven track record of achieving sales goals and closing large deals.Thorough understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and motivation to learn new service solutions or technologies.Strong awareness of the biopharmaceutical ecosystem and deal-making landscape.Team player with a can-do mindset.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.Other
