With a team of 45 and a strong digital presence, we are scaling rapidly and looking for our first HR professional to help build and nurture our team. Our new office in Madrid is designed to foster collaboration, and we want someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
About the role
We are looking for a People & Culture Lead to drive our HR function. As the first HR hire, you will be responsible for building and shaping our people strategy, ensuring we attract, retain, and develop top talent while maintaining a strong, engaging company culture. This is a strategic and operational role, perfect for someone who enjoys big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.
Key responsibilities :
- Culture & Engagement : Develop and nurture a strong company culture that embodies our values and fosters a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing work environment. Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement, strengthen team cohesion, and create a workplace where people feel valued, motivated, and empowered to grow. Act as a cultural ambassador, ensuring that we maintain a strong sense of purpose and belonging as we scale.
- Talent Acquisition & Recruitment : Develop and manage hiring strategies to attract top talent while ensuring a great candidate experience.
- Onboarding & Employee Experience : Create and implement onboarding processes that set new hires up for success.
- Performance & Development : Establish performance review processes and career development programs to help employees grow.
- HR Operations & Compliance : Manage contracts and policies and ensure compliance with Spanish labour laws.
- Compensation & Benefits : Help design fair and competitive compensation structures and employee perks.
- HR Processes & Tools : Implement and optimize HR systems and tools to streamline processes.
What we’re looking for :
5+ years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in a startup or fast-growing environment.Strong understanding of HR best practices, labour laws, and compliance in Spain.Proven ability to build HR structures and processes from scratch.A people-first mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Hands-on approach with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.Fluency in Spanish and English is required. A high level of French is also essential, as well as strong comprehension and the ability to hold professional conversations.What we offer :
