As an
Automation & Robotics Engineer
, you will report to the maintenance team leader and you will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our equipment and automation systems. Working closely with other departments and supervising external contractors when needed, you will contribute to industrialization and engineering projects while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Provide technical support to production, including troubleshooting functional anomalies and monitoring machine performance.
Diagnose and repair electrical and electromechanical systems.
Propose, analyze, and / or execute projects and improvement plans, ensuring the availability of the necessary human and material resources.
Conduct equipment obsolescence analysis and plan replacements when required.
Suggest continuous improvement initiatives within the role’s scope as well as for the plant overall.
Collaborate in industrialization and engineering projects with other departments.
Supervise external contractors in relation to the functions described above.
Focus on preventive maintenance and root cause analysis; Degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles within industrial and Lean environments.
Proven experience in process automation.
Hands-on experience in PLC programming (Rockwell), SCADA systems (Rockwell), and communication protocols.
Experience with robotics (ABB and Fanuc) and machine vision systems.
Programming skills in Visual Basic.
Advanced user of MS Office (particularly Excel).
Fluent in English.
Postgraduate studies in Automation & Robotics or related fields will be considered a plus, as well as experience with SAP, AutoCAD, and EPlan.
