Proven track record in a technical pre-sales solutions engineering or implementation consulting role. Strong understanding of APIs integrations and common B2B travel system workflows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Prior experience with flight booking engines air ticket automation or mid / back-office travel platforms. Hands-on knowledge of GDSs (e.g. Sabre Amadeus Travelport) airline contracts or booking automation tools. Familiarity with scripting XML / JSON or similar data formats is a plus. We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer with a strong background in the travel technology industry to join our growing team. This role bridges the gap between our commercial and technical teams providing critical support during the sales cycle understanding client needs and demonstrating how our solutions can bring tangible value to our clients operations.
The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge technical aptitude and exceptional communication skills to lead product demonstrations answer technical questions and help tailor solutions for prospective clients.
You will be joining a small company (RightRez a Mize Company) that creates and provides automated air travel booking and management technology to an array of leisure and commercial travel firms around the world. Current clients include EF Education Grand Circle Travel Gate 1 AAA Carnival and many more.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the sales team to understand client requirements and craft tailored technical solutions.
- Conduct product demos technical workshops and presentations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate customer business needs into system requirements including integration scope and automation possibilities.
- Act as a technical consultant throughout the pre-sales process and help close deals through consultative value-based selling.
- Provide technical documentation implementation estimates and solution architecture for proposed engagements.
- Collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to communicate customer needs and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
- Stay current on product capabilities industry trends and competitive landscape.
