What We're Looking For

We are seeking a pioneering Senior Software Engineer to be the foundational hire for our new IT Platform Team. This is a unique opportunity to explore the problem space from the ground up, make critical technology decisions, and lay the architectural groundwork for the systems that will become the brain of our IT operations. You will be instrumental in shifting IT from a traditional support model to a proactive, software-driven function.

You’ll work closely with our frontline IT support staff (who will be part of your integrated team) to deeply understand their challenges and build innovative solutions that automate processes, enhance reliability, and leverage cutting-edge technologies, including AI. This role is for a builder, a problem-solver, and a visionary who is passionate about using software engineering to create transformative efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

• Explore & Define : Dive deep into existing IT operational workflows, helpdesk processes, and infrastructure to identify inefficiencies and prime opportunities for automation and AI-driven solutions.
• Architect & Design : Lead in designing the architecture for our new IT operational platform, making key technology choices for automation frameworks, integration strategies, data management, and AI tooling.
• Build & Implement : Develop scalable, robust software solutions to automate IT processes, integrate systems, and build internal tools, including workflow automation, bots, and AI models.
• Champion Best Practices : Establish and advocate for version control, CI / CD, automated testing, code reviews, and secure coding standards.
• Collaborate Deeply : Work with IT support, Systems Administration, and stakeholders to understand needs and deliver impactful, user-centric solutions.
• AI Exploration & Implementation : Research and prototype AI solutions, focusing on agentic AI, virtual agents, predictive insights, and automated decision-making.
• Own Solutions End-to-End : Manage full lifecycle from concept to deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Mentorship & Guidance (Future) : Provide technical guidance as the team grows.
