Exide Technologies' Automotive Division is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Operations Specialist to fill a fixed-term maternity leave replacement position (6-10 months contract). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information, ensuring correct accounting procedures, and working closely with the Controlling Operations Manager and Plant Manager.
About the Role The Manufacturing Operations Specialist will be responsible for analyzing facility results and deviations, KPIs, working capital, R&D projects, product cost calculation, expense monitoring, analysis of investment projects and control of pending projects and fixed assets, participation in month-end procedure of accruals & analysis, production issues & cost analysis, inventory management, coordination and report of financial aspect of Lean Manufacturing, stock take management, and external & internal audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities Analysis of facility results and deviations, KPIs, working capital, R&D projects
Calculation of product cost
Expense monitoring
Analysis of investment projects and control of pending projects and fixed assets
Participation in month-end procedure of accruals & analysis
Production issues & cost analysis
Inventory management
Coordination and report of financial aspect of Lean Manufacturing
Stock Take Management
External & Internal Audit requirements
Providing and coordinating financial information in the plant
Requirements Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Industrial Engineering and Management
Demonstrated experience analyzing and developing costs of manufacturing and delivering products
Demonstrated experience managing ERP in a manufacturing environment
Good knowledge of IT tools for cost control and reporting (Oracle Fusion, Excel, Hyperion, Business Warehouse, Power BI)
At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing environments, knowing the structure of manufacturing processes
At least 1 year of experience preparing budgets, monitoring monthly, and forecasting
