Cloud Engineering Role
As a key player in shaping the future of the insurance industry, you will have a pivotal role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining modular cloud-based systems.
Responsibilities
Create cloud-native applications using cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes
Develop optimal cloud solutions to meet business requirements, including architecture, storage, compute services, cost monitoring, and optimization
Analyze and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
Audit cloud infrastructure and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and identify improvements / extensions needed for the multi-cloud platform
Core Competencies
Experience working on open-source projects
Proficiency in container technologies like Docker
In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes on topics such as :
Managing application deployment on a K8S platform (pods, worker nodes, node selector, etc.)
Routing network traffic and network security with K8S
Persistent storage options and limits
Kube security and security mechanisms between containers, pods, and the cluster
Kubernetes High Availability (auto-scaling, probes, load balancing)
Multitenancy in Kubernetes
Understanding of microservice design and architectural patterns
Maintenance and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure including clusters
The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and experience working with Agile / Scrum principles. A minimum of five years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role is required, preferably with certifications from major cloud providers.
