For a global manufacturing customer, I am searching for a freelance Network Engineer for a long-term assignment. They have sites across Spain in Malaga, Barcelona and Marid; candidates should work onsite in either of these locations depending on your location.
Responsibilities for Global Network Operations
Owns engaging, solutioning and supporting network infrastructure (Data, Security) locally and globally
Troubleshoot complex network (LAN, WAN, DNS, etc) and firewall-related issues
Manage and resolve user-generated incident tickets while providing excellent customer service
Utilize and optimize operational toolset, including monitoring, configuration management, etc.
Proactively pinpoint and eliminate network performance bottlenecks impacting business workloads
Secure the network from malicious internal attacks
Provide technical leadership and expertise in escalations, P1-P3 incident response tickets
Continuous improvements - participates in Problem Management, Post-mortems, root cause analysis and accelerate / advance the resolution of incidents impacting the Critical Production Environment & pro-longing escalations
Profile
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience and / or certifications
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on network and security experience with minimally a Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ Certification
Solid experience on Cisco, Firewalls, Fortinet, Palo Alto and InfoBlox
