Our range of products and services delivers end-to-end and door-to-door solutions for all of our customers' shipping needs - be they Ocean, Inland, Air or in the Warehouse. Today, we are the world’s premier LCL ocean freight consolidator, and we’re still pushing boundaries.

About the Role

The candidate for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities within an assigned territory. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will use their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers. The Sales Executive works closely with an assigned team of professional including an Inside Sales Representative and a Sales Development Coordinator who will assist in reaching sales targets and supporting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a sales strategy targeting key decision makers to build a network and drive businesses;
  • Strategically cross-sell into existing accounts to highlight the scope of Vanguard's products and services;
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to customers.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Successfully create business from new and existing customer accounts.
  • Manage complex negotiations with senior-level executives.
  • Build rapport and establish long term relationships with customers.
  • Provide market intelligence to the Sales Manager.
  • Expedite the resolution of customer questions, problems or complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure weekly and monthly reports are completed and submitted timely.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years' quota carrying sales experience; logistics industry preferred.
  • Goal-oriented and ambitious, with capacity and drive to achieve and exceed quotas.
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota and ability to build productive, mutually beneficial relationships with customers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels; strong collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
