The role

You’ll lead design for a key domain within Preply’s largest product tribe - central to our mission of helping people unlock their potential through language learning. This domain spans 5–6 cross-functional squads shaping how learners and tutors experience our platform.

You’ll guide the design direction for your area and act as its craft leader - setting the creative standard and helping others reach it. Working closely with Product and Design leadership on defining the strategic direction, you’ll ensure design decisions align with user needs, product vision, and business goals. Your work is bold, beautiful, and boundary-pushing; you bring imagination and precision to every detail while elevating the quality of design across your teams.

You’ll coach and inspire designers to raise their bar, grow their craft, and design with clarity and intent. As the tribe continues to evolve, you’ll play a key role in shaping how design scales - creating experiences that feel effortless, human, and distinctly Preply.

What you’ll be doing :

• Make Preply the go-to platform for learners to connect with their right tutors and start a lasting learning journey.
• Partner with leadership to shape the product Tribe strategy, ensuring a cohesive vision that guides and connects the work across squads.
• Design and elevate the learner journey—from discovery to subscription —alongside product and engineering.
• Push creative boundaries through experiments and data-informed decisions.
• Contribute to and evolve our Design System to ensure a consistent and scalable experience.
• Mentor designers, lead by example, and help raise the bar for craft and collaboration across the team.
