Backend Technology Expert

We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Technology Expert to join our freelance project in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping data management systems using cloud-native technologies and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities Design and optimize back-end services with Java 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices, and other cutting-edge technologies.

Translate complex business needs into scalable solutions that drive innovation and growth.

Enhance GUI functionality in collaboration with frontend teams, ensuring seamless user experiences.

Implement best practices in security, compliance, and governance, maintaining the highest standards of excellence.

Work with Apache Kafka & Apache Spark for real-time data pipelines, leveraging their potential to drive business success.

Deploy and manage applications in OpenShift / Azure with Kubernetes & Docker, ensuring smooth operation and scalability.

Collaborate in agile cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers.

Requirements 7+ years of Java development (Java 8+, ideally 17 / 21).

Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, CI / CD pipelines.

Cloud knowledge ( OpenShift, Azure ).

Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Hibernate, distributed systems.

Proficiency in Kafka, Spark for real-time streaming.

Awareness of Angular and testing frameworks (JUnit, Jasmine, Karma).

Previous work in financial services / trading platforms is a plus.

Fluent English & Spanish.
