GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SCADA & AIM Engineer will take the design lead and provide transversal support to the different project work packages in relation to the design, supply, installation and commissioning of SCADA, Asset Integrity Monitoring systems and other supporting systems required to operate the assets. As part to the role's responsibility, the SCADA & AIM Engineer will ensure that the systems installed at site meet the defined OW's standards and the project can be integrated into those centralized systems required for the correct supervision of OW's portfolio including the real time monitorization and control of the fleet.
Lead the delivery of the SCADA, AIM and operational support systems and provide technical support to the different work packages to ensure the project is delivered a per the Employer Requirements and it can be operated as per OW's procedures and local regulations.
Identify the project's stakeholders and ensure that the systems comply with any 3rd party requirements, specially in terms of, data interfaces, data delivery and 3rd party control over OW's assets.
Support the commissioning of the SCADA, AIM and operational support systems to guarantee the correct operation of the project and its integration into OW's fleet wise platform and tools.
Support OW IT with the delivery, at site level, of the required connectivity and telecommunication infrastructure to ensure the integration of the local systems in to OW's OT cloud.
Work with the rest of the Operational Infrastructure and Performance team in the development of OW's standard to support the integration of new assets and streamline its development.
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (i.e., Computer networks, Industrial Automation, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering) is required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SCADA technologies, control, and automation systems.
Experience in wind, other renewable energies or electricity transmission is strongly preferred.
Wind farm operations and the associated SCADA systems and network infrastructure requirements is essential.
Standards associated with SCADA systems design, especially those used in the wind and energy transmission sectors (i.e., Complex LAN and WAN configurations and industrial networking hardware.
Cloud computing.
SCADA engineering and maintenance tasks.
Cybersecurity for OT networks.
Experience on the whole project life cycle from early requirements definition to commissioning and project handover is strongly recommended.
Wind Turbine design and wind farm topologies.
Condition monitoring, substation automation, protection, and metering systems.
Typical forms of service contract.
Risk analysis and techno-economic modelling.
The company has an international team of employees, and the working language is English. Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Travel to project and OEM sites will be required.
