🚀 Are you ready to lead the architecture and engineering of next-generation Mission Control Centers for satellite constellations?
At Exceltic, we're looking for a MCC Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Satellite and Constellation Payload and Mission Control Center systems engineering. You will play a key role in the concept, design, development, integration, and procurement of Mission Control Centers (MCC) for both governmental and commercial space missions.
🛠️ Main Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual design and technical development of Mission Control Centers, ensuring compliance with mission and payload requirements.
- Conduct systems engineering activities for MCCs, focusing on :
- Technical, data, and payload interfaces
- Data and control plane flows
- Payload integration and management
- Define and follow up hardware (HW) and software (SW) requirements, including interfaces with gateways, satellite control centers, networks, IT infrastructure, and data centers.
- Perform system-level trade-offs and support the definition of the overall ground segment architecture.
- Manage requirements engineering using tools such as DOORS or JAMA.
- Support procurement processes, from RFP preparation to development, integration, verification, validation, and acceptance.
- Contribute to the definition of operational procedures, collaborating with internal teams and subcontractors.
🎯 Requirements
5 years of relevant experience in Mission Control Center (MCC) systems engineering, ideally within large satellite constellation programs.Deep understanding of mission control architectures, including data and control planes and payload interfaces.Strong background in software-based systems, networks, and IT infrastructure.Experience in design, integration, verification, and operation of MCCs.Familiarity with traffic routing algorithms and Intersatellite Links (ISLs).Knowledge of communication engineering, including RF link budgets and antenna design.Experience in technical project management.EU nationality and willingness to undergo EU Secret Clearance.Fluent in English (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.💫 Why join Exceltic?
