The Senior Associate Director, Career Education & Discovery Advisor plays a key role in delivering impactful, scalable, and student-centered career support at IE University. This hybrid role combines the coordination and content development responsibilities of the Career Education Associate (80%) with targeted advising and career discovery support (20%). The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, student-focused, and passionate about supporting career development and employability.

We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid.
Responsibilities Yourrole as Senior Associate Director, Career Education & Discovery Advisor willinvolve :
Career Education Program Design & Coordination
Coordinate and support career education programs such as the Career Accelerator, pre-program modules, and career workshops.
Oversee event logistics including calendar management, speaker coordination, material preparation, and follow-up.
In collaboration with the Director of Education, liase with Program Leads and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of career education initiatives.
Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in career education by researching trends and scaling successful pilots across different programs.
Educational Content Creation & Management
Assist in the development and maintenance of high-quality educational content (guides, toolkits, presentations, quizzes, videos, etc.).
Gather and incorporate student and faculty feedback to ensure materials remain relevant and effective.
Support quality assurance reviews and update cycles to maintain consistency and instructional value.
Maintain internal documentation (e.g., syllabi, templates, structure trackers) and support student resource dissemination through platforms like Blackboard, the Career Portal and other LMS / tools.
Data & Project Support
Assist in tracking attendance, engagement, and student satisfaction for career-related initiatives.
Contribute to audits, reporting, and benchmark studies to support strategic decisions.
Career Discovery & Advising
Provide career advising support to students through one-on-one sessions and small group formats, helping them explore and define their career goals.
Guide students in crafting effective job search strategies, including identifying target companies, building personal brand materials (CV, LinkedIn), and preparing for interviews.
Assist in delivering core employability content in classrooms or workshops related to career discovery, job market awareness, and application strategy.
Collaborate with the Advising and Employer Relations teams to stay updated on job market trends and employer expectations.
Qualifications To thrive in this role, you should have :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related fields.
1–3 years of relevant experience in higher education, career services, learning development, or recruitment.
Previous exposure to advising, coaching, or instructional support is highly valued.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with high attention to detail.
Excellent communication in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Familiarity with educational technologies, such as LMS platforms (e.g., Blackboard), project management tools, and content creation tools.
Empathy and strong interpersonal skills to support students from diverse backgrounds.
Team-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic academic environment.
Experience with mock interviews, CV / cover letter review, or coaching methodologies.
Affinity with the higher education and international job market landscape.
